Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a Service Technician to support field operations in Mississippi. The role involves working with gas service connections, disconnections, and meter-related activities, using prescribed procedures and ensuring customers understand work performed.

You will install and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment, assist in safety responses, maintain accurate records, and comply with DOT/PHMSA and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires valid driver's license.
• DOT/PHMSA safety screenings may be required.
• Ability to utilize internet/intranet for data entry and recordkeeping.
• Ability to communicate with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as operator qualified.
• Informs customers of needed repairs and ensures satisfaction with work performed.
• Installs, programs, and operates Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
• Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• May read meters and record usage for billing.
