Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a Service Technician in Midland, TX to perform field service tasks, connect/disconnect services, and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment. The role requires strong safety awareness, customer service skills, and the ability to work outdoors in diverse conditions.

You will handle meter reading, data recording for billing, and contribute to responsive emergency support while adhering to DOT/PHMSA safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal peers.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to follow procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as qualified.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
• Read meters and record usage for billing.
• Complete and maintain accurate records to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform occasional emergency callouts.
• Identify and report safety and encroachment issues to resolution.
• Possess ability to lift up to 45–53 pounds and use equipment safely.
• May work stand-by, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as required.
