Job summary

Qualifications

• Educational/Experience level: high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete Operator Qualifications (OQ) and related trainings.
• Computer skills: use company intranet/site for data entry/retrieval.
• Communication: ability to explain information to internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic work using clearly prescribed procedures.
• Respond to customer service requests including connections/disconnections.
• Inform customers of needed repairs and ensure satisfaction with work.
• May disconnect service and pursue delinquent collections.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment.
• Assist with safety and emergency response activities.
• Complete and maintain records to meet company/regulatory requirements.
• Read meters and record usage for billing.
• May hold stand-by duty, shifts, holidays, weekends, and emergency calls.
• Identify and report safety/encroachment issues; ensure resolution.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicles/equipment.
• Adhere to Atmos Energy values and Code of Conduct; participate in safety training.
