Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking a field technician in Monroe, LA to handle basic service requests, including connections and disconnections, and to install and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment. The role requires maintaining accurate records and complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

You will respond to customer inquiries, read meters for billing, and may work standby hours, including nights and weekends, to support reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
• Operator Qualifications (OQ) and OJT specific to Service Learning Path.
• Must maintain position OQs and any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as becomes operator qualified.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
• Read meters and record usage for billing.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
• May hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and occasional extended hours.
