Job summary

Delta Utilities in New Orleans is seeking an Engineer I/II/III/Sr. to support natural gas distribution and transmission planning, hydraulic modeling, and data maintenance for DIMP/TIMP.

You will provide technical expertise to field staff and assist with capital budgeting and project management. The role emphasizes safety leadership, regulatory compliance with PHMSA standards, risk analysis, and written/oral communication across a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Engineer levels I–Sr specify 0–2, 2+, 4+, 6+ years respectively.
• Knowledge of gas operations, PHMSA rules, and project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and coaching to staff.
• Prepare reports and presentations on technical topics and business cases.
• Ensure Gas Compliance with PHMSA 191/192/199.
• Develop and update DIMP/TIMP data and risk models.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and gas flow analyses.
• Work extended hours during emergencies and outages.
