Job summary

National Grid is seeking an Engineer to support planning, design, review, and execution of gas distribution infrastructure projects. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, reliable delivery in compliance with standards and regulations.

The role involves developing technical specifications, cost estimates, and documentation for capital projects, coordinating with consultants, and contributing to process improvement initiatives across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience required.
• Experience applying engineering principles to design/construction/operation of infrastructure or related systems.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, calculations with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of gas distribution projects and programs.
• Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, specs, and work packages.
• Perform design quality reviews and coordinate input from various stakeholders.
• Support evaluations related to capacity, reliability, safety, and asset performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Connections, Construction, and other teams to execute projects.
