Job summary

Delta Utilities is seeking a C&M Technician to perform field operations for natural gas distribution, including installation, repair and maintenance of steel and plastic piping and related systems.

You will operate heavy equipment, assist in emergencies, pursue CDL within 90 days and complete welding certifications, with safety training and teamwork across Tech I–IV to support on-site construction and restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
• For C&M Tech II: two years of relevant construction/maintenance experience and welding experience; CDL within 90 days.
• For C&M Tech III/IV: progressively more experience and CDL/welding certifications; on-site leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs or replaces steel and plastic pipe.
• Locates gas lines.
• Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Provides First Responder assistance in emergency situations.
• Lead and direct on-site gas distribution work at higher levels and ensure welding standards.
