Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Coordinator for its distribution operations in Florida, offering a hybrid work arrangement within commuting distance of West Palm Beach, Debary, Winter Haven, or Yulee. The role focuses on overseeing gas distribution projects valued between $0.5M and $1.0M with a strong emphasis on budgeting, scheduling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years utility project coordination/management.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of project management, project construction invoicing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong interpersonal skills including communication, networking and team building.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships, and coordinate and resolve issues during the course of the project.

Responsibilities

• Leads, with supervision, multi-disciplinary project teams; accountable for planning, coordinating, directing and controlling various gas distribution construction projects valued at $0.5-$1M.
• With support of management, monitors project progress according to established timelines, recommends budget adjustments when necessary, and meets with team members weekly.
• Assists with the development of project schedules and briefs business unit leadership monthly on progress toward timeline and budget milestones.
• Monitors the project activities to ensure alignment with all State, Federal and Company safety requirements.
• Applies technical knowledge and project management skills to address unforeseen issues or concerns with the project and acts to resolve.
