Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking a mechanical engineer to design, develop, and oversee gas distribution and pressure regulating systems, including major projects. You will analyze, plan, schedule and perform engineering assignments while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

This role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least five years of related experience (gas experience a plus), and the ability to travel between MA/CT/NH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience.
• Gas experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs systems to fit objectives, ensuring conformance with standards and regulations.
• Prepares procurement, permitting and construction documents; coordinates labor.
• Prepares bids, schedules, reviews bids, and assists with budget plans.
• Maintains field procedures to ensure compliance with codes and safety.
• Coordinates construction activities with customers, contractors and authorities.
• Monitors budgets and cost tracking; provides management with reports.
