Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a background in gas distribution to design and oversee projects. You will work on regulator stations, telemetry, distribution mains, and related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes.

The role requires at least 3 years of related experience, with engineering design and gas sector familiarity highly preferred. Occasional travel and emergency restoration involvement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Three (3) or more years related experience is required.
• Engineering design experience preferred.
• Gas experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs systems or installations to fit objectives, conforming to industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate construction activities with customers, contractors, states and internal departments.
• Maintain field procedures to ensure compliance with codes and company standards.
• Travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary and support emergency gas distribution restoration efforts.
