Job summary

The City of Henderson, Kentucky is seeking a Gas Distribution Superintendent to organize and supervise daily construction and maintenance activities of the Distribution Department field crews. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of gas distribution construction and maintenance experience.
• Current or previously held OQ certifications.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and maintenance activities of the Distribution Department field crews.
• Serve as the site incident commander with the gas distribution engineer during emergencies and planned jobs.
• Review 811 tickets and active dig projects to prioritize high-risk work.
• Provide safety training and oversee operator qualification (OQ) tasks for field staff.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and utilities to plan projects and material needs.
• Attend utility meetings and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
