Job summary

CenterPoint Energy monitors, dispatches and loads balance work orders to field personnel. Responds to requests on information and provides communication between customer service representatives and field personnel.

Education: a high school diploma or GED is required. At least one year experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system and experience in gas distribution operations or equivalent dispatching roles are required. This role may involve rotating shifts and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires one year experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system and at least one year experience in/or supporting gas distribution operations or at least one year of equivalent dispatching experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and performs call-ahead request for field technicians.
• Receives and dispatches calls and locates.
• Dispatches orders via Mobile Data.
• Monitors, routes, and documents work orders to service technicians; reviews backlogged work orders.
• Coordinates daily operational requirements between internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolves scheduling concerns between the company’s Call Center, customers, and supervision to achieve optimum results.
• Acts as liaison between the company, customers, state and local governmental agencies in an emergency situation.
