Unitil’s Gas Controller team operates a 24/7/365 gas control operation with a rotating day/night schedule. In-office work at gas control rooms in Portsmouth NH, Exeter NH, or Portland ME supports safe and reliable gas service.

The role requires managing pipeline supplies, coordinating with Gas Control Supervisors, and complying with PHMSA and tariff constraints. A strong focus on safety, communications, and emergency readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent and related 5 years in gas operations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communications.
• Familiar with nominations and confirmations procedures; SCADA operation knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Operate gas transmission and distribution systems complying with codes and tariffs.
• Coordinate live gas operations and emergency response with field personnel.
• Maintain records, schedules and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
• Provide support and training to Gas Control staff as needed.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service for customers.
