Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Run Test Technician to perform final functional testing, verification, and troubleshooting of industrial gas compressors and PLC control panels prior to shipment.

You will ensure equipment meets safety and customer specs by conducting run tests, analyzing data, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams. Qualifications

• Minimum 1–7 years of troubleshooting PLC control panels and/or operating Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.
• Proficiency interpreting engineering documentation including P&IDs, GA drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.
• Familiarity with Ariel and Dresser Rand compressors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, motivated and self-directed with attention to detail.
• Capable of guiding and leading junior personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional run tests on natural gas compressor packages and PLC panels per procedures.
• Verify operation of engines, compressors, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Set up test environments with appropriate fuel, electrical, and control connections.
• Operate and monitor compressors during start-up, load, and shutdown cycles.
• Test and validate PLC logic, safety interlocks, alarms, and shutdown sequences.
• Record and analyze test data to ensure safety and performance standards.
