Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP seeks a Testing Technician - A to perform advanced testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on natural gas compressor packages and related equipment. The role supports engineering and quality initiatives, including prototype testing and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of related experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing/field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 6+ years of mechanical, electrical, fabrication, testing, or industrial equipment experience.
• Technical/vocational certification preferred.
• Experience with natural gas compression equipment, industrial engines, rotating equipment, electrical controls or similar machinery.
• Combination of education, certifications, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine testing requirements and objectives.
• Set up, configure, test, and diagnose compressor packages, engines, and control panels.
• Perform operational tests, adjustments, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Diagnose failures, troubleshoot, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety, quality, and environmental inspections per company policy.
