Job summary

Credence in Houston, TX is seeking a Prep Cook for the Garde Manger station. You will set up, stock, and maintain the station, prepare and plate cold dishes, read tickets, and coordinate with the line and service team.

Ideal candidates have line-cook experience in high-volume kitchens, knowledge of station organization and food safety, and the ability to follow recipes under pressure. Food Handler Certification is required.

• Knowledge of station organization, cooking technique, timing, and sanitation.
• Ability to follow recipes, stay composed under pressure, and communicate effectively.
• Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and maintain the assigned station for efficient service.
• Execute composed cold dishes, salads, garnishes, and mise en place for garde manger.
• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe, portion, temperature, timing, and presentation standards.
• Read tickets and coordinate timing with the line, expo, and service team.
• Monitor product quality, pars, rotation, waste, and food-safety controls.
• Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and report maintenance concerns.
• Complete opening, cleaning, breakdown, labeling, and closing work thoroughly.
