The City of Bloomington, Indiana is seeking an experienced supervisor to assist the Parking Garage Manager in daily maintenance, safety, and operations of City parking garages. The role covers staff training, scheduling, performance management, and ensuring adherence to procedures.
You will monitor garage utilization, handle cash-related operations, coordinate with vendors for repairs, and ensure cleanliness and safety year-round in all weather conditions. On-call duties apply to emergencies.
Incumbent is responsible for assisting the Parking Garage Manager in the administration of daily maintenance, safety, and operations of City parking garages. These activities include facilities operations, facilities maintenance/repairs, supervision of staff and scheduling. Incumbent monitors and supervises daily operations. Prime focuses on troubleshooting all Parking garage related concerns.

Minimum of one year experience in a supervisory role within a customer service-oriented industry or a similar field.
Work-related experience in financial operations involving cash handling.
Experience with general maintenance, parking garage maintenance preferred.
While the incumbent performs some duties in a traditional office setting, most tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Incumbent is on call 24 hours per day, seven days a week in order to handle emergencies that might develop.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including co-workers, City and other government officials, community groups, and the general public. The incumbent needs communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with customers, employees, and management.
