Job summary

Local Garage Doors is seeking a Service Technician to join our full-time team in California. You will perform maintenance tune-ups, inspections, and repairs to ensure garage door systems operate safely and reliably, while educating homeowners on proper operation.

Qualifications

• Respectful, professional, and friendly approach with customers.
• Able to bend, climb, kneel, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of clean driving history.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (THC excluded) and criminal background check.
• Comfortable using navigation apps, tablets, and basic software tools.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools.
• Professional appearance at all times.
• Must be currently eligible to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform Annual Maintenance Club tune-ups for residential garage door customers.
• Conduct thorough garage door inspections using company checklists.
• Diagnose worn, damaged, or unsafe components and document findings.
• Present repair and maintenance recommendations to homeowners clearly and professionally.
• Sell approved repair and maintenance work with confidence.
• Complete repairs on springs, rollers, cables, openers, keypads, and related components.
• Educate customers on garage door safety and proper operation.
• Handle callback visits and customer concerns with a focus on resolution.
• Support warehouse inventory, receiving, and load-out activities when needed.
• Maintain accurate job documentation through the company software.
