Local Garage Doors is seeking a full-time Service Technician to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on residential garage door systems. You will educate homeowners on safety and proper operation, present repair options, and complete fixes with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

You will also handle callbacks, support warehouse activities, and maintain thorough documentation using our software.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing professionalism and courtesy.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with 3+ years of clean driving history.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Comfortable using navigation apps, tablets and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Perform Annual Maintenance Club tune-ups for residential garage door customers.
• Conduct thorough garage door inspections using company checklists.
• Diagnose worn, damaged, or unsafe components; document findings.
• Present repair and maintenance recommendations to homeowners.
• Sell approved repair and maintenance work with confidence.
• Complete repairs on springs, rollers, cables, openers, keypads, and related components.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of clean driving history.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (THC excluded) and criminal background check.
• Comfortable using navigation apps, tablets, and basic software tools.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools.
• Professional appearance at all times.
• Must be currently eligible to work legally in the United States.
