Job summary

Amarr, part of ASSA ABLOY, is seeking an Overlay Assembler to build and assemble customized residential and commercial garage doors. The role requires reading blueprints and using hand and power tools to meet design specs and quality standards.

Typical shift is Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm. You will work in assembly and production, ensuring accurate configuration and timely completion while following safety policies and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, carpentry, construction, or related production environment.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and mechanical assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble custom garage door components using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and other production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and product configuration.
• Measure, cut, fit, drill, and fasten materials according to design requirements and production standards.
• Install hardware, overlays, trim, and other door components as required.
• Complete assemblies efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards and production targets.
• Assist with final inspections to verify assemblies meet quality requirements before shipment.
