Job summary

Specialty Building Products in Orlando, FL is seeking a production assembler to join our door manufacturing line. You will read work orders, perform repairs and adjustments, and aim to meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in lumber or engineered lumber, and basic math. Forklift experience is a plus; proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook helps day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior lumber experience preferred; engineered lumber experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to ensure assembly accuracy.
• Make repairs or adjustments to assure quality.
• Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company.
• Complete the quality product label.
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards.
• Assure proper housekeeping and organization.
• Strive to meet team efficiencies for production without compromising quality.
• Use power tools for special door prep.
• Preventive maintenance.
• Understand work order process.
• Able to set pace of line (lead).
• Able to make decisions without guidance.
• Identify most common doors and inserts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
