Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Phoenix facility, performing on-site assembly and installation of door hardware and components. You will handle materials, inspect quality, and prepare assemblies for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with metal fabrication or construction, read engineering drawings, and work well in a team. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, installation, or related field preferred.
• Experience with metal fabrication or commercial construction is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Detail oriented with accurate measurement abilities (to 1/16 inch).
• Comfort with hand tools, basic machining, and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and prepare building components.
• Install hardware for Rite Door Assemblies including panic devices and hinges.
• Package and prepare Rite Slide Assemblies for shipment.
• Perform door machining, grinding, sanding, and other production tasks as needed.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials and maintain inventory levels.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
