What You Will Do

The Gap Year Patient Care Technician, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), performs patient care tasks and procedures necessary to ensure the care, comfort, and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology, biochemistry, or relevant science degree.
• Certifications:
  • EKG training (successful completion within three months of start date)
  • Care Companion Course (if required by the department)
  • CPR certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • CPI certification (within three months of start date)
• Experience: N/A
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, ability to prioritize, follow directions
