$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Gap Year Patient Care Technician - Med/Onc - Night Shift

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Technician
• Location: Naperville, IL; Edward Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Night Shift (Rotating Holidays/Weekends)
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

The Gap Year Patient Care Technician, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology, biochemistry, or relevant science degree.
• Certification:
• Provides evidence of successful completion of EKG training within three months of start date. (Trained after hire)
• Successful completion of Care Companion Course within three months of start date if required by the department. (Trained after hire)
• Current CPR certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within three months of start date. (Trained after hire)

• Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to follow directions.
