Job summary

GameStop is seeking a Store Manager in the Columbia area to oversee daily store operations and lead a team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will drive sales by sharing knowledge of games and products, managing the register, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

You will recruit and train associates, ensure onboarding compliance, schedule shifts, and partner with the District Manager to execute company initiatives while safeguarding assets and inventory.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience required.
• At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations across multiple units as needed.
• Provide and model best-in-class guest service and promote promotions.
• Support merchandising and guest relationships to drive sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns using the POS system accurately.
• Respond to guest questions in person or by phone and maintain professional etiquette.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure onboarding and compliance training are completed before shifts.
