Job summary

GameStop in Roseville, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations and develop a sales-focused culture. You will supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, drive guest service, manage daily POS transactions, and help ensure a clean, well-merchandised environment.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for gaming.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or accredited bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service, greet guests, respond to questions, and promote promotions.
• Support the store environment, including visual/operational elements and sales initiatives.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS system with accuracy and courtesy.
• Elevate customer issues to Store Manager when necessary.
• Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and loyalty programs.
• Assist Store Manager with training and onboarding of associates.
• Supervise staff in absence of Store Manager.
• Ensure store cleanliness, merchandise organization, and safety compliance.
