Job summary

GameStop is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Glendale, CA to support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. You’ll lead guest service excellence, drive sales, maintain visual standards, and supervise Sales Associates to ensure a premium shopping experience for every guest.

You will train staff, manage payroll, and uphold company policies. This role requires a customer-first mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, promote promotions, and thank guests for shopping at GameStop.
• Support the store’s visuals, operations, and sales initiatives to drive guest relationships and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system and provide receipts.
• Train and supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in store policies and guest service standards.
• Schedule staff and manage payroll and time off with Store Manager oversight.
• Ensure store cleanliness, inventory control, and compliance with safety procedures.
