Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Team Member to service guests, process hand-pay jackpots, and perform minor repairs on HHR machines at our Virginia facilities. The role emphasizes accuracy in paperwork, compliance with regulations, and strong guest interactions, with compensation at $11 per hour plus tips.

The position requires standing and walking for shifts, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety protocols. High school diploma and basic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent guest service skills in a high-volume environment, preferred.
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department paperwork and data entry (jackpot slips, tax documents, guest claim forms).
• Ensure HHR machines and components are functioning; perform preventative maintenance.
• Protect company assets by following policies and state regulations, including Internal Controls and Responsible Gaming.
• Ensure HHR machines are ready for guest play and promptly escalate issues.
• Promote player card usage on the gaming floor.
• Read and recall game histories and pay tables.
