Job summary

Butler University is seeking a part-time Athletic Event Operations Student Worker in Indianapolis to support setup, execution, and breakdown of home athletic events. You will work across most sports, attend pre-game briefings, and assist with in-game needs while maintaining professionalism and impartiality.

The role requires reliable, punctual staff who can start 60–90 minutes before events, communicate effectively via radios, and coordinate with the Event Manager for various duties.

Responsibilities

• RESPONSIBILITIES (PRE-GAME): Prior to the event, workers should arrive at the designated call time, typically 60 to 90 minutes before the contest depending on assignment.
• Assist with venue setup, including the placement of equipment, signage, tables, and team or official supplies as directed.
• Workers should retrieve and confirm working radios where applicable, ensuring communication with the Event Manager and other gameday staff, and should review their specific event-day assignment with the Event Manager.
