Job description

$25–$70 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task

Fully flexible schedule

Work on the cutting edge of game-playing AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the game development expertise you already have.

The AI systems being built to understand, play and create games are trained and tested by real game developers. The teams building them need game developers who can create realistic gameplay tasks, judge how well an AI handles them, write the solution a professional developer would produce, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of AI systems that work with games. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.

What you'll do
  • Create playable prototypes and interactive scenes with Unity, Godot or Unreal
  • Create realistic gameplay bugs for testers to uncover and resolve through playtesting
  • Write professional solutions for gameplay fixes and feature implementations
  • Set success criteria around player inputs, the visuals the game should produce, and game states that can be verified
Why this is worth your time
  • Get paid the equivalent of $25–$70 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
  • Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most game developers will not have for years
  • Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping game development, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
  • Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
  • Demonstrated game development experience through one of these: a portfolio available for public viewing, a published project, a game jam submission or a shipped title
  • Advanced proficiency in Unity, Godot or Unreal; hands‑on work with debugging utilities, scene management and editor tools
  • Clear written English for preparing task briefs, judging against evaluation criteria and producing related written work
  • No experience in AI training work needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
  • $25–$70 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
  • Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
