Job summary

SMT is seeking a Hockey Help Desk Technician in Jacksonville, FL to provide game-day support for NHL events and related leagues. You will monitor and troubleshoot multiple systems during live games, coordinate with on-site staff, and ensure SMT resources are functional pregame and during events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and Windows OS.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic Hockey Rules Knowledge.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Open availability (must be available to work daytime, night, weekend, and holiday games).
• Previous technical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Ability to quickly process feedback and adjust in real time.
• Work well under pressure and complete tasks on time.
• Follow daily checklists and procedures.
• Works independently and without direct supervision.
• Travel 2-3 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide game day systems support for league, systems and applications.
• Monitor multiple systems and applications during live events.
• Collaborate within a team to ensure services are delivered successfully.
• Maintain open communication with SMT and clients.
• Communicate with on-site staff to verify SMT system deliverables.
• Perform system maintenance on and off-site as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software components (computers, cameras, cables, printers, networks, SMT software).
• Assist in testing related hardware/software and diagnose issues to propose solutions.
• Log tickets via calls, emails, or other channels to the help desk.
