Job summary

SMT in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Hockey Help Desk Technician to provide game day support for NHL events. The role requires working evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and involves monitoring systems and troubleshooting hardware and software during live events.

You will log tickets, collaborate with on-site staff, and ensure reliable SMT and NHL resources. Travel 2–3 weeks per year may be required; a passport may be needed for worldwide locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and Windows OS.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
• Basic Hockey Rules Knowledge.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Open availability for day, night, weekend and holiday games.
• Previous technical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to process feedback and adjust in real time.
• Works well under pressure and completes tasks on time.
• Follows daily checklists and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 weeks per year.
• Passport or authorization for travel to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide game day systems support for NHL games.
• Monitor multiple systems and applications during live events.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as needed.
• Log tickets via help desk for all issues.
• Communicate SMT system deliverables with on-site staff.
• Coordinate with team to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Perform system maintenance on-site and off-site.
• Assist in testing related hardware and software.
