Job summary

Valmont in Salina, Kansas is seeking a Chemical Process Tank Technician to monitor galvanizing equipment and fluids, adjust flow rates and temperatures, and maintain crystal bags and filters. The role includes minor maintenance, operating the MZR machine, and assisting with loading and cleaning duties.

The position is on-site with 2nd shift availability and requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, wear PPE, and work overtime.

Qualifications

• No degree required; 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Exposure to sulfuric acid.
• Able to operate forklift and hand/power tools.
• Overtime 1–2 shifts per week.
• Wear respirator and PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor galvanized equipment and fluids, adjust flow rates.
• Add acid and maintain fluid levels and temperatures in galvanizing tanks.
• Operate the MZR machine and assist with crystal loading.
• Maintain logs and assist with cleanup and housekeeping.
• Communicate problems or needs to supervision.
