Job summary

Valmont is hiring in Northern Kentucky for a galvanizing plant role focused on racking, finishing, and general mounting tasks. You will prepare products for galvanizing, stage tubular parts, and help move steel components through all plant areas.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety guidelines, operating related tools, and maintaining orderly work areas. A high school diploma or GED and prior galvanizing/ crane experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months' experience in a galvanizing position.
• Experience with hand tools and gauges including impact wrenches, air grinders, drills, taps, oxy-fuel torches, and mill gauges.
• Six months operating a bridge crane.
• Must have a high awareness for safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products and materials for the galvanizing process by hanging on spreader bars.
• Stage tubular products and prepare small parts for galvanizing.
• Move lightweight steel pieces and assist in clean up and housekeeping.
• Operate in kettle area using paddling techniques and tools.
• Support finishing operations and unloading for shipment.
