Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in West Point, NE seeks Full-Time General Labor for its Coatings Division. You will prepare products for galvanizing, hang angle on spreader bars, and stage tubular parts across shifts (graveyard, day, night).

Safety-focused candidates who can read instructions, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate basic hand tools are preferred. Responsibilities include inspecting fixtures, handling steel, cleaning work areas, and supporting the galvanizing process.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to shoulder height or higher.
• Must stand for long periods in an open air environment with PPE.
• Safety-focused approach and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and ensure safe use of production fixtures, chains and hooks.
• Hang angle on spreader bars and stage tubular products for galvanizing.
• Move steel pieces by hand and prepare parts for galvanizing.
• Assist in general plant cleanup and housekeeping.
• Follow safety procedures to protect self and others.
