Job summary

Valmont Industries seeks a Material Handler in Midland, PA to prepare products for galvanizing by hanging angles on spreader bars, staging tubular products and prepping small parts for galvanizing. You will inspect fixtures, hand wire parts to racks, and move steel pieces with care in a busy shop.

Responsibilities include using air tools, assisting in clean-up, and maintaining safety procedures while lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Lift up to 50 pounds from ground to shoulder height or higher.
• Must stand for long periods in open air with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and ensure safe use of production fixtures, chains, and hooks.
• Hand wire small to medium parts to racks for galvanizing.
• Move lightweight steel pieces in plant and yard.
• Prepare or clean up steel for galvanizing using tools.
• Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping.
• Work safely to protect self and others.
