Job summary

Golden Alaska Seafoods, LLC. seeks a diligent galley attendant to clean and maintain the vessel's eating areas and support the Chief Steward, First Cook, and Prep Cook. You will ensure a smooth mealtime flow by stocking essentials and keeping the galley tidy and sanitary.

Responsibilities include daily dishwashing, restocking, organizing storage, and assisting with meal service. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and willingness to work as part of a marine crew are essential.

Responsibilities

• Confer with galley staff for special instructions at shift change.
• Break down meals and clean line and containers; swap dirty ones.
• Change dish washing water after each meal and clean the machine.
• Stock milk, juice, napkins, breads, cups, silverware, yogurt, noodles, etc.
• Keep the dish washing area clean.
• Clean rice pot spoon after each meal and rice pots once per shift.
• Clean tea, juice and milk area and containers.
• Keep crew refrigerator clean and stocked.
• Wipe garbage cans as needed.
• Organize and clean under benches and cabinets when time allows.
• Make salads; suggest new salad ideas.
• Take out the trash when needed.
• Wipe down stainless-steel areas with bleach water after each meal.
• Drain and clean the steam line once during shift.
• Assist chief steward or first cook by turning on the line an hour before meals.
• Clean condiments on tables after meals; restock if necessary.
• Clean microwaves as needed.
• Clean juice, milk and coffee machines as requested.
• Leave area clean and tidy when shift ends.
