Job summary

Sdms is seeking a diligent Gage/Quality Technician to support automotive manufacturing, focusing on gage tracking, calibration, and data accuracy. You will collaborate with quality engineers to ensure standards and reliability across measurement devices.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a quality technician role, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Background check and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a quality technician role, automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in using and calibrating gages and measurement devices.
• Knowledge of gage correlation studies and QA principles.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Certifications in QA or gage calibration are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and track gages used in manufacturing, ensuring calibration is up to date.
• Conduct regular gage calibration and maintain calibration activity records.
• Perform gage correlation studies to ensure measurement consistency across gages.
• Collaborate with quality engineers to meet standards and specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of calibration, maintenance, and correlation studies.
• Identify and address issues with gages and measurement devices to minimize downtime.
