SHIVELY DIVERSIFIED MANAGEMENT SERVICES, LLC is seeking a diligent Gage/Quality Technician to support automotive manufacturing. You will manage gages, calibrate devices, and perform correlation studies in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will collaborate with quality engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Background checks and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree can be preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a quality technician in automotive manufacturing.
  • Proficient in using and calibrating gages and measurement devices.
  • Strong understanding of gage correlation studies and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication with quality engineers and other team members.

Job description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Gage/Quality Technician to join our team. This position is crucial for supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of gages used in automotive manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing gages, conducting gage correlation studies, and collaborating with quality engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gage Management: Maintain and track all gages used in manufacturing, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Gage Calibration: Conduct regular gage calibration and maintain accurate calibration activity records.
  • Gage Correlation Studies: Perform gage correlation studies to ensure the consistency and reliability of measurements across different gages.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure gages meet all required standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of gage calibration, maintenance, and correlation studies.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address issues with gages and measurement devices, ensuring minimal downtime in manufacturing operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all gages and measurement devices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of gage management processes.
Requirements
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality technician role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in using and calibrating various gages and measurement devices.
  • Strong understanding of gage correlation studies and quality assurance principles.

Certifications
