American Axle & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a Quality Support, Gage Calibration technician for the 2nd shift to support calibration, measurement, and gage management on the manufacturing floor.

The role involves performing calibrations, verifications, and minor repairs of diverse measurement equipment, maintaining traceability records, participating in MSA studies, and assisting with gage setup and audits to ensure quality in production.

Qualifikationen

• 6 months to 1 year of automotive manufacturing experience.
• Two-year technical training in calibration, metrology, or related field preferred.
• Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 certifications.

Aufgaben

• Perform calibration, verification, adjustment, troubleshooting, and minor repair of measurement equipment.
• Complete calibrations in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Troubleshoot gage measurement issues and resolve related problems.
• Assist with gage set-up and operation of inline measurement systems.
• Maintain and update the gage management system records.
• Prepare detailed reports for management and participate in MSA studies.
