Job summary

Wolfe Research, LLC in New York seeks a mid-level accounting professional to lead the cash-basis to accrual GAAP/Tax conversion and to oversee ongoing GAAP/Tax accounting operations. You will work closely with senior accounting leadership and external tax advisors, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting/Controller.

The role requires 3 days in the office and offers exposure to restatements, policy development, and collaboration with audits and tax teams.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive US GAAP accounting experience; public/private experience preferred.
• Familiarity with researching and applying US GAAP to transactions and financial reporting.
• Partnership income tax experience helpful.
• Strong accounting software proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cash-basis to accrual GAAP/Tax conversion, including restatements.
• Document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify differences between cash and accrual treatments across revenue recognition, compensation, and assets.
• Coordinate with outside tax consultants for tax return preparation.
