Job summary

Ritholtz Wealth Management LLC in New York, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, manage payroll, audits, and financial reporting while partnering with the CFO for fiscal strategy.

The role requires 3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Hybrid work with NYC office access offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of SEC/FINRA compliance requirements and RIA regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software, cloud-based systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise required).
• Strong analytical skills with ability to create financial dashboards and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal controls and monitor expenditures against projections.
• Manage and fully control the company's payroll and benefits administration platform.
• Coordinate all audit activities, including preparation of audit materials and liaison with external auditors.
• Present financial reports in a timely and accurate manner; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Monitor financial progress and keep senior leadership updated on financial status.
