Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Consultant to join our Public Sector Advisory group, serving the accounting needs of state and local governments nationwide. This role processes client data for GAAP financial statements, performs agreed-upon procedures, and contributes to special projects.

The position emphasizes strong communication, relationship building, and adherence to GAAP/GAAS/PCAOB standards, with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA eligible preferred.
• Experience in providing attest services in a professional services firm is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and adaptability; proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process client data for GAAP financial statements, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per professional guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients for superior service.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking.
• Assist with recruiting activities and referrals to the firm.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, high ethical standards.
• Assist on compilation of Schedule of Federal Expenditures for clients.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
