Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Consultant to join the Public Sector Advisory group, serving state and local governments across the United States.

You will process client data for GAAP financial statements and associated procedures, identify accounting issues, and provide recommendations to improve processes while building strong client relationships. Travel is limited but may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA eligible preferred; Masters degree desired.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Proficient in communication, client service, collaboration and problem solving; strong Microsoft Suite skills.

Responsibilities

• Process client data for GAAP financial statements, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per GAAP guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients for superior service.
• Participate in recruiting and employee referral programs; engage in professional development.
• Demonstrate teamwork, ethical standards, and positive attitude.
• Assist with compilation of Schedule of Federal Expenditures for clients.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
