Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a GAAP Compilation Consultant to join the Public Sector Advisory group. This role serves state and local governments and other entities across the United States, focusing on GAAP guidance and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include processing data for GAAP statements, identifying issues, and recommending improvements while building strong client relationships and contributing to recruiting efforts. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; CPA eligibility is preferred.
• Experience providing attest services in a professional services firm is preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Process client data for inclusion in GAAP financial statements, agreed upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service.
• Assist with recruiting activities and participate in the Employee Referral Bonus Program.
