Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP seeks a GAAP Compilation Consultant to join our Public Sector Advisory group, supporting state and local governments across the United States.

Responsibilities include processing data for GAAP financial statements, identifying issues, and recommending improvements while delivering outstanding client service. Bachelor's in Accounting required; CPA eligible preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree desired.
• CPA eligible preferred.
• Experience providing attest services in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Process client data for GAAP financial statements, agreed upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per US GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities including campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate teamwork and high ethical standards.
• Assist on compilation of Schedule of Federal Expenditures for clients.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
