Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking an experienced GA Area Manager for the Warren, MI vehicle plant. You will lead the General Assembly organization, driving performance, capability growth and a culture of high skilled, technical teamwork in support of GM Engineering and GM Manufacturing.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing operations, with experience leading salaried teams and a strong background in GA manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years leading salaried organizations.
• Launch experience in ME and/or MO is required.
• Excellent organization and communication abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Solid technical background in GA manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading in a unionized environment with strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the General Assembly operations at the Warren site to drive safety, quality, schedule attainment and cost efficiency.
• Set strategic operational plans and manage day‑to‑day activities across GA operations.
• Drive financial performance including budgets, efficiency initiatives and cost optimization.
• Ensure GA systems, processes, teams and equipment meet high readiness standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align programs, maintenance and engineering.
• Provide leadership in pre‑trim, trim, chassis, final, repair, and electrical disciplines.
