Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a results-driven FX Business Development Officer to drive growth across Consumer, Wealth, Small Business, and Business Banking segments. You will identify opportunities, build a cross-border FX pipeline, and collaborate with senior sales teams to deliver tailored foreign exchange solutions.

The role emphasizes prospecting, relationship-building, and strategic engagement with partners and clients to expand FX capabilities and revenue across multiple banking channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Foreign Exchange, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, Business Banking, Retail Banking, or Financial Services sales.
• Proven ability to prospect, onboard and develop relationships, and generate new business opportunities.
• Understanding of foreign exchange markets, international payments, and cross-border banking solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively engage both clients and internal partners.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with experience using Excel, CRM platforms, and sales pipeline tools.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new FX opportunities across Consumer, Wealth, Small Business, and Business Banking segments.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients with cross-border payment, foreign currency, and international banking needs.
• Identify opportunities among clients involved in international trade, overseas real estate transactions, foreign investments, international education expenses, and other global activities.
• Conduct outbound calling campaigns and business development initiatives to generate qualified opportunities and expand FX penetration.
• Support efforts to acquire new-to-bank relationships and deepen existing client relationships through FX and international payment solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, discovery calls, and sales presentations with senior FX sales professionals.
• Explain FX products and market developments in a clear, practical manner to support client decision-making.
• Coordinate onboarding, documentation, product implementation, and trade readiness efforts.
• Collaborate with branch leadership and treasury partners to expand FX capabilities across the organization.
