Job summary

The SMIT will gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills to prepare for the Store Manager position, with a base salary in the $65k–$75k range plus commission, and a path toward management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in retail, supervisory or managerial role preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and apply strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
• Support the Store Manager in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product availability.
• Participate in training programs to develop skills in customer service, merchandising, and team leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve inquiries and issues.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff to enhance performance.
• Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and execute promotional strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment for a better shopping experience.
