Job summary

Pittsburgh Public Schools is seeking a Project Manager of Future Ready Facilities Plan to lead districtwide reconfiguration efforts, including school closures, consolidations, and grade reconfigurations. The role reports to the Superintendent and coordinates cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment with the district's strategic plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Organizational Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, educational operations, organizational change, or strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and implementation of districtwide reconfiguration initiatives.
• Develop and monitor detailed implementation timelines, benchmarks, and deliverables across departments.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities among Communications, Curriculum & Instruction, Equity, Finances/Budget, HR, Plant Operations, Professional Learning, and others.
• Ensure plan milestones are met within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with District leadership and external partners to ensure clear communication and alignment of messaging.
• Track progress, flag risks, and provide status reports to Executive Leadership and Board.
• Support development of communication and engagement plans for staff and community.
• Identify impacts on staffing, enrollment, facilities, and programming; address them.
• Document meetings and follow-up actions; ensure accountability.
• Promote equity-centered implementation and continuous improvement.
